How this started... 🧵

To be completely honest with you, CosyGirlsUK was born out of a total life plot-twist. A few years back, I was diagnosed with a chronic illness and my life was turned upside-down. Suddenly, my body decided it couldn’t really do the things it used to do (rude), and I found myself needing a creative outlet to keep myself mentally stable while I adjusted to my new normal.

After grabbing a skirt that needed fixing and digging out my sewing machine, I realised that sewing allowed me to still be creative without using up all of my energy. As a vintage and preloved fashion aficionado, I started rescuing unwanted and discarded fabrics and giving them a serious glow-up.

My passion is to battle the fast-fashion, mass-production textile industry (even in the little way that I can!) and turn textile waste into one-of-a-kind, bespoke pieces.

Stitching old, unwanted, unused fabrics together into something new felt like I was stitching my life back together into something new too ❤️

My style motto? More is MORE

If you look into my own wardrobe, you won't find just one style—and you won't find it here, either! I’m completely unlimited when it comes to aesthetics.

CosyGirlsUK is a playground for subcultures. One day I'm stitching together a velvet-trimmed Whimsigoth statement piece or a heavy, buckled Goth pouch. The next day, I’ll find a delicate pastel lace and dive straight into Coquette or Fairycore vibes. I make everything from dreamy Cottagecore patchworks to sleek, minimalist Clean Girl essentials, and everything in between.

Because it’s all made from limited material runs, no two pieces I make are ever the same. Literally ever. When you buy a bag from me, it belongs entirely to you. No one else on the planet will be walking down the street with your exact outfit-completer. It’s like a piece of wearable art tailored to whatever era your wardrobe is in right now.

Keeping it waste-free 🌍

Every stitch is done by me right here in my little home studio with Martha by my side. My design process is basically a giant, creative puzzle—I slice, match, and sew until every single scrap of fabric is used up, leaving absolutely zero waste behind.
